is an exceptional teacher with over 15 years teaching experience. First stepping onto a yoga mat back in 1995, she feels extremely blessed and grateful to have received guidance and wisdom from great teachers throughout her yoga life. Her style of yoga teaching combines the integrity and precision of alignment from Iyengar techniques with movement and breath awareness of vinyasa. She encourages self enquiry and self discovery in a safe and joyful way. Her techniques suit students of every ability and she’s very ‘hands on’, often making adjustments and corrections to your positions.
formerly ran his own graphic design and photography business (as well as a catering business as a sideline). A few years ago, he gave up all of his design clients to feed his passion for all things food-related.
Nowadays, he focuses on creating his Healy Mealies: clean, vibrant, wholeheartedly wholesome, soul-nourishing and utterly scrumptious food. All mindfully prepared and imbued with love and healing energy. It’s all plant-based: vegetarian and vegan, both cooked and raw, designed to make you feel lighter and brighter. The perfect complement to your yoga practice.
Young at heart, funky in nature and filled with an infectious enthusiasm, they are insatiably curious. Together, they bring their diverse skills and qualities together to create a balanced, warm, playful, loving and magical space…. somewhere you can totally relax and be yourself… the kind of space that will foster change and allow you to flourish!
Each room has a MASSIVE 2m double bed and en suite bathroom.

- Twin rooms have 2m double bed and comfy double made-up sofa bed.
- Triple room has 2m double bed and 2 single beds.
a full programme, daily. In the mornings the schedule will include meditation, pranayama and vinyasa flow asana with attention to alignment technique.
The afternoon sessions will vary, with more gentle classes - restorative, yoga nidra, focusing on seated postures or playing with inversions.
There will be some movement meditation in there too!
For those that don’t just want to put their feet up with a good book or have a natter, there is plenty to keep you busy:
You are immersed in some stunning, unspoilt nature. Plenty of space to wander and explore… an opportunity to give your mind a chance to settle… and your spirit to soar.
There is every chance that the weather will still be sunny enough to make use of their swimming pool (so bring your swimmers just in case!)
Massages (Shiatsu and Thai Yoga) can be arranged by prior appointment (and at an additional cost).
Head to the nearest town, Pontremoli, a picturesque medieval castle town, for some sightseeing, retail therapy (and a REALLY thick hot chocolate)!
As with all of our retreats, there are plenty of other fun and inspiring (optional) activities lined up, including a cooking class / making a communal final meal.

"The retreat was brilliantly organised, and Jaya created an inclusive and sociable atmosphere, while also giving people the space to spend time on their own if they wanted. While there were lots of activities at our disposal, everything was completely voluntary and there was never a sense of unwanted obligation.
I loved the yoga, but even more I loved the time spent truly relaxing and exploring my emotional life in the calm and safe environment that you helped to create. The yoga itself was even better than I had hoped - amazingly it was appropriate for complete beginners as well as more advanced practitioners, and Jaya differentiated the postures based on people's experience. She was excellent at responding to injuries or any individual's particular physical requirements. You really got a sense that she was taking care of your individual practice, as well as being part of a shared experience. I have a reasonably regular practice after several years of yoga, but Jaya gave new insights and tips as well as correcting bad habits, so it was a real learning experience. She also has the kind of really deep understanding of both the physical and spiritual sides of yoga, borne of years of real dedication and training, that these days are really hard to find amongst yogis of the instagram generation. She's the real deal.

'My Sister and I spent a wonderful weekend at Poundon House with Jaya and Marc during the weekend of March 9th-11th. Jaya excelled herself with a thoughtfully planned and well balanced (pardon the pun) yoga schedule with flowing yoga sessions in the morning and restorative stretches and yoga nidra in the afternoon. The group honoured her request for silence until breakfast despite being a chatty and interactive group at all other times. Marc spoiled us with some of the most exquisite delicacies that I have ever tasted. His vegetarian menu was both filling, nourishing and more-ish. The dairy and gluten free chocolate ganache tart was out of this world.... Together they were both charming and considerate hosts for what was a fabulous relaxing weekend. Great team work in action!’
